I am going to describe a Problem in this Blog and briefly explain it. And the Problem is “Lack of Practicalness in Pakistan Education System”.

Problem Statement:

The education system in Pakistan up to Intermediate Level does not produce skillful people. We learn No Practical skills before joining University Studies. We are forced to learn Books word by word 24/7 and get as maximum Marks as possible. As a result, we have no skill when we leave School/College system.

We can Revolutionize Education System upto Intermediate by:
1) Promoting “Learn by Doing” methodology and get rid of “Learning books word by word”
2) Providing Career Counselling to students so that they can Decide their Career Path as soon as possible.
3) Providing students an oppurtuniy to self-discover themselves.

In this way Students will be skillful and Mentally Prepared and ready to start Practical life after leaving School/College.

Theory of Change:

Currently, students coming out of Pakistan’s Education System(School/College specifically) have no Practical life skills and are also not Career Counselled(Mentally Prepared and clear about their Future Career Path). What they only know is how to study theory 24/7 and Get Full Marks. If we can Promote “Learn by Doing” Methodolgy and Career Counselling to students at School/College Level, then it would Revolutionize the Education System in Pakistan and as a result Produce Career Prepared Skillful Students.

Analysis of Problem:

As you can see in picture below, most of the students have years of Education less than 12. It is clear that if we can improve Education System below 12th level, it can impact the Major part of Students.

and below is another supporting figure in this regard:

Here is the proof of lack of Practicallness and Theory teaching approach in Schools/Colleges:

Results of Lack of Labs Survey

And finally the skills that every student hopes to have could be:

  1. Income Generation skills(as no one wants to be unemployed)
  2. some life skills such as Islamic training, values, ethics…….etc

Here is the explanation of that, below in the picture:

My Learnings:

This was a great experience. Finding a problem was never easy, and then going through the Process of Finding enough info related to that was also a tough job. It was great Learning.

Thanks for reading.
